AvaTrade Partner Code 128979: What You Actually Get
Someone asks me about partner codes every couple of weeks. Always the same thing: can you get free trades or lower spreads?
Nope. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code has no impact on spreads.
Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Extra funds in your account based on how much you put in. Simple as that.
What's the bonus amount?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
$2,000 gets you $400.
$5,000 to $9,999 adds $1,000.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Top tier reaches £11,200.
Account minimum is $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
Finding the partner code field
When you're signing up. After you enter your phone number, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click it. The field expands. Type **128979**.
People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.
If you see an error, it's fine. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Ask them to add code 128979. Standard practice for them.
You can't withdraw the bonus straight away
You need to trade a certain volume.
About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Only the bonus has the restriction.
Worth mentioning: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. This lets you take bigger positions. That breathing room helps while you're learning.
